The Flame and Horsehead nebulas It only took me two years before I got good enough to get a good picture of this. The problem is the horsehead nebula is very dim and the bright star above the flame nebula looks like a head light. the veil nebula This was my hardest photo yet. This nebula is so dim that when I was on target, I could not even see it on the computer screen. This is a photo of 32 pictures at 8 minutes exposures each for a total of four hours of exposure. the trifid nebula the owl nebula the wirlpool galaxy The ring nebula - The tiny white dot in the center is what is left from the red giant star that exploded. It is the stars core. It is still bright enough to make the material and gases that is left glow.
